Unable to find Right VM Size in required region

We are unable to provision GPU VMs of size NC4as_T4_v3 or NC8as_T4_v3 in Central India. The deployment failure appears to be related to insufficient quota or available capacity for the NCasT4_v3 VM family in the region.

    Hi @Anmy Tony ,

based on your screenshot it looks like you do have insufficient quota for the NCasT4_v3 VM series.

In the Azure Portal please navigate to your subscription -> Usage + quotas -> Filter for the VM Series and the Azure Region -> Click on the pencil on the right side (Request adjustment

Submit a Quota Request for the Standard NCASv3_T4 Family in the Central India Azure region

For NCasT4_v3 GPU VMs, two separate issues can block deployment in Central India:

    1. Quota
      • The NC GPU family quota is initially set to 0 vCPUs per region for a subscription.
      • In the Azure portal, go to Virtual machines → Create → See all sizes.
      • If the size shows Insufficient quota - family limit, select Request quota for the NCasT4_v3 family in Central India.
      • Also verify that the subscription type supports these SKUs, because these GPU SKUs aren't available to trial or Visual Studio Subscriber Azure subscriptions.
    2. Regional capacity / SKU availability
      • Even with quota approved, Azure might still fail deployment if the region does not currently have enough capacity for that GPU SKU.
      • This commonly appears as an allocation failure or out-of-capacity condition.
      • The supported workarounds are:
        1. Try a different VM size in the same region.
        2. Try a different region where the SKU is available.
        3. Retry later if the issue is temporary capacity exhaustion.

    For the specific sizes mentioned:

    • Standard_NC4as_T4_v3 = 4 vCPU, 28 GiB memory, 1 GPU, 16 GiB GPU memory
    • Standard_NC8as_T4_v3 = 8 vCPU, 56 GiB memory, 1 GPU, 16 GiB GPU memory

If the portal is showing Request quota beside NC4as_T4_v3 and NC8as_T4_v3, the immediate blocker is the family quota for NCasT4_v3 in Central India. If quota is increased and deployment still fails, the remaining cause is most likely regional capacity for that SKU.
