Not receiving discord emails on outlook account

I am experiencing an issue with my Outlook email account where I am not receiving any emails from Discord. This includes password reset emails, verification emails, and support responses.

I can access my email account normally and I am receiving emails from other services without any issues. However, emails from Discord never arrive.

Steps I have already tried:

  • Checked spam/junk folder
  • Verified blocked senders list
  • Reviewed inbox rules and filters
  • Confirmed mailbox is not full
  • Tested receiving emails from other services (working correctly)

Despite all of this, I am still not receiving any emails from Discord. This issue is preventing me from recovering my Discord account, and I believe it may be related to a filtering or delivery problem on my email account.

Could you please investigate if there are any restrictions, blocks, or server-side filtering issues affecting emails from Discord to my account?

Thank you for your assistance.

Not receiving discord emails on outlook account

I know it's not any consolation, but this is a wide spread problem. e.g.

Microsoft is blocking the mail at the server and it never reaches your mailbox. There is nothing you can do from your Outlook client to fix it.

All I can suggest is that you submit a Problem Report. Every Report moves this issue one tiny bit higher up on the Microsoft Fixit List.

    • Logon to https://outlook.live.com/
    • From the main menu: Help -> Feedback
    • {This should open the Help side panel}
    • Select "Report a problem"
    • Fill in the "Describe your problem ..." text box.
    • Can we contact you about this feedback -> Yes
    • Collect logs for feedback -> Yes
    • Click [Submit]

Since other mail is arriving and only Discord messages are missing, the most likely Outlook.com-side checks left are message handling settings rather than a general mailbox problem.

    1. In Outlook.com, set the message list filter to Filter > All and check the Other tab if Focused Inbox is enabled.
    2. Search all folders for Discord messages, including Junk Email, Deleted Items, and Archive. Search terms that can help include Discord, from:discord.com, noreply, verification, and password reset.
    3. Recheck Rules settings and remove any rule that moves or deletes Discord mail. Also check whether any rule is redirecting messages away from the Inbox.
    4. Check whether email forwarding is enabled. If forwarding is on, messages may be redirected instead of staying in the mailbox.
    5. Check Junk Email settings and the blocked senders/domains list to confirm no Discord-related domain is blocked.
    6. Make sure messages are not just sorted or filtered out of view by restoring the list to chronological order with Filter > Sort > Date.
    7. Review recent sign-in activity for the Microsoft account. If there was unusual access, mailbox settings such as rules or forwarding may have been changed.
    8. If no Discord message appears anywhere and other senders work normally, ask Discord to confirm whether the messages were sent successfully, bounced, or suppressed on their side. The Outlook.com guidance for a missing specific email is to contact the sender when no error is visible.

A direct server-side investigation or backend filtering check is not available through self-service Outlook.com settings in the provided guidance. If the steps above do not resolve it, use Outlook.com support from the Help menu, then Still need help? > Yes while signed in.
