    Hi Carl Rhea,

If the left headphone channel is intermittently cutting out, the problem could be related to the headphones themselves, the audio connection, the audio driver or Windows audio settings.

To help narrow this down, could you first let me know your Windows version and build number? Please press Windows key + R, type winver and press Enter, then share the version and build information shown in the window.

I would also appreciate a few additional details:

    • Are the headphones wired or Bluetooth?
    • Does the issue occur with all headphones or only one specific pair?
    • Does the left channel cut out in all applications or only when using certain apps?

In the meantime, please try testing the headphones with another device, such as a phone, tablet or another PC. If the same issue occurs there, the headphones or cable may be faulty. If they work normally on another device, the issue is more likely related to the PC.

You can also check that the headphone plug is fully inserted and inspect the audio jack for dust or debris that could interfere with the connection. If available, try a different audio port or another pair of headphones.

Once I have your winver details and the answers to the questions above, I'll be happy to suggest the next troubleshooting steps.
