Unable to verify University ID for Azure for Students

Hello,

I am a full-time undergraduate student at BNM Institute of Technology, India, and I am trying to activate Azure for Students.

During academic verification, my official student email is not accepted, and the verification ends with the error "Unable to confirm your University ID."

I have already tried:

Using my official student email
Different browsers
Manually entering my institution details

Could you please advise how I can complete the verification or whether my institution requires manual verification?

The error "Unable to confirm your University ID" indicates that the Azure for Students verification service could not validate your academic eligibility. This can happen even when using a valid institutional email if the institution is not currently recognized by the verification provider or if additional verification is required.

Check:

Ensure you are using your official university-issued email address (not a personal email).
Verify that your university email account is active and able to receive external emails.
If the issue persists after trying different browsers and manually entering your institution, I recommend contacting Azure for Students Support to request a review of your academic verification. They can confirm whether your institution requires manual verification or if additional documentation is needed.

Thank you for your response.

I have already:

Used my official university-issued email address.

Verified that the email account is active.

Tried different browsers.

Manually entered my institution details.

Unfortunately, I still receive the "Unable to confirm your University ID" error.

I also attempted to use the Azure Support portal, but I was unable to create a support request because the portal shows an AADSTS16000 authentication error and does not allow me to proceed.

Could you please advise how I can contact the Azure for Students support team for a manual review, or could you help escalate this verification issue?

Thank you for following up.

I have already tried multiple browsers (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome), as well as Incognito/InPrivate mode, but I still receive the same "Unable to confirm your University ID" error.

I also attempted to create an Azure Support request, but the Azure Support portal displays an AADSTS16000 authentication error, so I am unable to contact the support team through that channel.

Could you please advise how I can reach the Azure for Students verification/support team for a manual review, or provide the correct private support channel? If additional enrollment documents are required, I am happy to provide them through a secure/private channel.

Hi, you have already covered the normal browser checks. Make sure the institutional mailbox can receive external mail, the account name matches your enrollment record, and you are signing in with the same identity throughout the student-offer flow. If the university is not recognized or email verification still fails, this needs the Azure for Students verification/support path; Q&A cannot manually approve an institution. Submit a support request with the school name, country, official email domain, screenshot, and current enrollment evidence through the private channel. Do not upload a student ID publicly. Also avoid repeated new-account attempts, because they can trigger additional eligibility checks.
