A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
If that's your intention, then you might want to group your inventory data into clear, operational columns:
- Stock Number: Unique dealership ID (e.g., JA-1042) to track the vehicle.
- Core Specifications: Make, Model, Year, and Body Style (e.g., Convertible, Hatchback, Saloon, SUV).
- Vehicle History: HPI Status (Passed/Pending), Previous Owners, and Mileage.
- Mechanical Specs: Transmission (Automatic/Manual) and Drive Type (2WD/3WD/4WD).
- Financial Tracking: Acquisition Cost, Reconditioning Costs, Asking Price, and Target Monthly Finance (HP) Payment.
- Status Tracker: Dropdown menu for current phase: In Prep, Listed, Under Deposit, or Sold.
For templates, check Vertex42 Vehicle Fleet Tracker - that's a lightweight spreadsheet architecture available on Vertex42 that easily scales up to log individual vehicle statuses and costs. More at https://www.vertex42.com/ExcelTemplates/inventory.html
