    Hi

I understand that in Classic Outlook for Windows, your iCloud calendar lets you create an event, but the date and time fields are frozen or keep changing back.

Please reply with the following details:

    • Your Outlook version/build from:  File > Office Account > About Outlook
    • Your iCloud for Windows version
    • Whether this happens only when creating new events, or also when editing existing iCloud events
    • Whether the same event can be edited correctly from iCloud.com or your iPhone/iPad

    Meanwhile, also follow these checks:

    1) Use Scheduling Assistant

    • Open the event in the iCloud calendar.
    • Select the Scheduling Assistant tab.
    • Change the start date, start time, end date, or end time there.
    • Select the Appointment tab again.
    • Save and close the event.

If the event still cannot be edited in Outlook, try creating or editing the event from iCloud.com or from your Apple device first, then allow it to sync back to Outlook. You can view your iCloud Mail, Contacts, and Calendars from iCloud.com.

    2) Check the basic iCloud/Windows requirements

Before troubleshooting further, please confirm the following:

    • Your PC is connected to the internet.
    • Your Windows date and time settings are correct.
    • You are signed in to iCloud for Windows with the same Apple Account used on your other devices.
    • There is no ongoing issue shown on Apple’s System Status page.

    3) Confirm iCloud calendar sync is enabled for Classic Outlook

Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!

The issue description matches a problem with the iCloud calendar integration in Outlook on Windows rather than with Outlook’s own calendar engine. The supported way to repair iCloud calendar/contacts sync with Outlook is to reset the iCloud for Windows integration.

Use these steps on the Windows laptop:

    1. Close Outlook completely.
    2. Open the iCloud for Windows app.
    3. Sign in with the Apple ID if prompted.
    4. In iCloud for Windows, clear (uncheck) Contacts and Calendars and select Apply.
    5. After it finishes, check Contacts and Calendars again and select Apply to re‑enable the sync.
    6. When the setup completes, reopen Outlook and test creating a new event in the iCloud calendar to see if the date and time fields are now editable.

If iCloud for Windows is not installed or needs repair, reinstall it and then re‑enable calendar/contacts sync:

    1. Download and install the current iCloud for Windows build from the Microsoft Store.
    2. Launch iCloud for Windows, sign in with the Apple ID, and select Contacts and Calendars, then Apply.
    3. Open Outlook and verify that the iCloud calendar appears and allows normal editing of date and time.

If the problem persists only for older or far‑future events, be aware that for iCloud accounts on Windows, the Calendar app only shows events from the past three months and up to six months in the future; events outside that range may not behave as expected in some Windows calendar views. Creating and editing events within that range should work normally once the iCloud integration is healthy.
