A long time ago I created a new calendar for my family to share events, called Family Room. This calendar is in addition to my default outlook calendar. The Family Room calendar has suddenly disappeared. One day (15/06/26), everyone was accessing the calendar on their various phone apps and web mail apps. Adding events etc. Next day (16/06/2026), no one can see it. I cannot even see it in my account when I access it via web Outlook. My default calendar is still there but not the other (Family Room) calendar. Check calendar Groups just in case.

This calendar has all of my families join events, birthdays etc. Any idea as to how I can find/recover my calendar.

Thanks.

I had this happen to me. I have 5 shared calendars of which I am the owner and share them with different combinations of family members. Yesteday (june 15) they all worked for everyone, today (june 16) the shared calendars were all removed from everyone's calendar list. I checked my calendar where they are shared FROM and it shows they were still shared to the various people. I removed those shares and added everyone again and they accepted the calendar invitations and now they can see those shared calendars again. Clearly Microsoft did something

So solution is to re-share the calendars - which isn't ideal - but at least a work around

    Hi Pearl,

As per checking, the Family Room calendar hasn’t been deleted. Microsoft recently changed how family calendars work in Outlook.com. Instead of showing up in the usual calendar list, they are now found under Groups.

As a workaround, from Outlook.com and open the Groups section in the left menu. On the Outlook mobile app, you’ll also find it under Groups. Once you locate it, you can add it back to Favorites so it’s easier to access.

The described behavior matches known changes to Outlook.com family calendars and shared calendars.

    1. For Outlook.com Family group calendars
    • A recent change moved the Family group calendar so it no longer appears as a traditional shared calendar in apps like Outlook desktop, Windows 10 Mail, or some third‑party apps.
    • The Family group calendar is not deleted; it now appears:
      • In Outlook on the web: under the Outlook.com groups area in the left navigation.
      • In Outlook mobile: under the groups area, and it is automatically added to Favorites.
    • To check:
      • Sign in to Outlook.com in a browser.
      • In the left navigation, expand the Groups section and look for the family group calendar there.
      • In Outlook mobile, open the navigation pane and check the Groups section and Favorites.
    1. If the calendar is not a Family group calendar
    • The context provided only documents the Family Calendar move and does not provide a supported recovery path for a completely missing non‑Family shared calendar.
    • If the calendar is not visible under Groups or Calendars in Outlook on the web, use Outlook.com support so they can inspect calendar logs:
      • In Outlook.com, select Help on the menu bar and enter the issue.
      • If self‑help does not resolve it, scroll to Still need help? and choose Yes to contact support while signed in.
    1. Additional troubleshooting for calendar issues in Outlook on the web
    • From Outlook Web App calendar settings, use the built‑in troubleshooting option:
      • Go to Settings > Options > Settings > Calendar.
      • Select Let us help you troubleshoot your calendar.
      • Provide details (for example, the calendar name “Family Room”) and send so support can review calendar logs.

These steps ensure Microsoft support can check whether the calendar was converted, moved into a group, or affected by a backend change.
