Calender sharing not working like it did

My husband and I have Microsoft Outlook Classic, and up until very recently could see each other's calendars. Now I can see his, but he can only see his own entries and all mine say BUSY or FREE.

I have checked permissions for him, and changing to either VIEW or EDIT still doesn't show appointment names. I've rebooted both our phones and desktop computers, and nothing changes.

Any ideas on what happened or how to fix?

Thanks for any help.

Multiple reports. Looks like it's a Microsoft Bug.

Since this is affecting multiple users and also happens in Outlook.com on the web, it may not be caused by a local app cache or an individual device setting.

    Hi Jeanne Lundeen,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially since calendar sharing was working normally before.

Based on your description, the shared calendar may be showing only availability information instead of full details, or Outlook may still be using an outdated cached version of the shared calendar.

    Please try the following steps:

    • In your Outlook, go to Calendar > Folder tab > Calendar Properties > Permissions.
    • Remove your husband from the permission list, then select OK.
    • Add him again and set the permission to Can view all details or Can edit.
    • On your husband’s Outlook, remove your shared calendar from his calendar list.
    • Close and reopen Outlook, then re-add or accept the shared calendar invitation again.
    • Also check whether the affected appointments are marked as Private, as private items may still hide details even when calendar sharing is enabled.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
