I have a Minecraft receipt and order number. The account I use shows "Buy Now". Can an agent check which Microsoft account owns this order?

I bought Minecraft Java & Bedrock Edition. I have the receipt and order number. The Gmail that received the receipt no longer shows the game, and the account that appears to own it is asking for verification through an unknown recovery email ending in @securitylock24hrs.net

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm sorry you are experiencing this.

Based on your description, your Microsoft account was compromised. The hacker was able to remove the account's primary email address/security info and replace it with their own email address.

Since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Agents cannot look up or disclose which Microsoft account owns a specific Minecraft or Microsoft Store order, even if a receipt and order number are available. Ownership and recovery are handled only through the automated account recovery and hacked-account workflows.

Given the symptoms described (unknown recovery email like @securitylock24hrs.net and the game no longer appearing under the Gmail account), this matches a compromised or changed-account scenario. The only supported options are:

    1. Use the hacked/compromised account guidance Follow the official steps in the article on how to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account. This walks through checking for compromise, resetting the password, and reviewing security info and aliases:
      • See: "How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account" (linked from the Q&A answers in the context).
    2. Submit the Microsoft account recovery form (ACSR) If access to the account is lost and security info has been changed:
      • Go through the account recovery form referenced in the guidance.
      • Provide as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, approximate creation date, purchase details, devices used, etc.).
      • Use the detailed instructions in "Help with the Microsoft account recovery form" to improve the chances of success.
    3. Understand the limitations The recovery form is the only method Microsoft uses to verify ownership in these cases. If the form repeatedly reports that the account does not exist or the recovery request is not granted, the account is effectively unrecoverable. Support agents and forum moderators cannot override this, cannot move purchases to another account, and cannot disclose which account owns the order.
    4. Contact Minecraft Support separately For Minecraft-specific entitlements, contact Minecraft Support using the official Minecraft support links provided in the Q&A answers. They may be able to advise on any alternative options for Minecraft access, but there is no guarantee that the license can be moved or restored if the Microsoft account cannot be recovered.
