I have $8.52 in my Skype account, but Teams is not allowing me to call saying: "Please ensure your billing address is up to date in order to continue using Skype paid services without interruption."? Is there a way around this to access my credit?

    Hello

    Try this:

Use your web browser incognito/inPrivate mode.

Go to your Microsoft account profile page at account.microsoft.com and sign in to your account.

Go to Your info, first confirm that “Language” is clearly selected with your prefered language, do not leave it blank. then save it.

Next, click Edit next to “Country or region.”

Temporarily change the country to another country/

Fill in any valid required fields for that region, then click Save.

After successfully saving it to another country, click Edit again. Change the country or region back to your original country, then fully enter your original correct billing address and zip code.

Click Save. At this point, the system should force-refresh the cache, hopefully allowing you to bypass the error and complete the required binding successfully.

Microsoft has recently disabled the option to change billing address from Skype settings.

In similar cases, users were able to fix this issue by setting language in their Microsoft account.

Teams Free and the Skype Dial Pad will only work for calling if the account has an active paid product (subscription, Skype Number, or active Skype Credit) and the billing details are valid.

To access the remaining credit, use these steps:

    1. Verify the correct Skype account
      • Sign in to the Skype web portal and confirm that the Skype Name and balance shown there match the account referenced in the email about the credit.
      • If Teams or the Skype Dial Pad says there is no paid product, it is often because the sign-in is with a different Microsoft/Skype account than the one holding the credit.
    2. Check whether the credit is inactive
      • Skype Credit becomes inactive after 180 days of no use.
      • If the credit is inactive, it must be reactivated before the Skype Dial Pad will appear in Teams or on the web.
      • Go to the reactivation page and sign in: Sign in to your account, then select Reactivate Credit.
      • It can take up to 15 minutes to reactivate; an email is sent when it is done.
    3. Use the Skype Dial Pad on the web
      • Once the credit is active and the billing information is valid, sign in at calling.web.skype.com.
      • If there is an active subscription or active Skype Credit, the Dial Pad opens automatically and calls can be placed from there.
    4. Use the Skype Dial Pad in Teams Free
      • Ensure the latest version of Microsoft Teams Free is installed.
      • Sign in with the same Skype account that has the active credit.
      • In Teams Free (desktop): select Settings and more → Skype Dial Pad.
      • In Teams Free (mobile): tap the profile picture → Skype Dial Pad.
      • If the Skype Dial Pad option does not appear, the account either has no active paid product or the credit is still inactive; reactivate it in My Account and then reopen Teams Free.

There is no supported way to bypass the billing-address requirement; the billing profile must be valid and the credit active for the Skype Dial Pad to work in Teams or on the web.
