How to fix white screen on WhatsApp Web after Windows Insider update

I installed the today´s update of Windows 11 Insider preview and after the installation the WhatsApp Web stopped working. It´s only opens an white screen a do not complete the initialization.
I already use the Repair, Restore and Uninstall options available on Windows Settings, but it doesn't work. After uninstall I used the app available on Microsoft Store.
The Windows build is 26.220.8138.ge.release_scv_betafit_prod1.260325-0357
Is there a fix tor this problem?

Harri Pohja 15 Reputation points2026-04-01T19:34:21.99+00:00 I had a similar case. WhatsApp Windows application stopped after installing Windows 11 Insider update KB5079492 last night. First I tried to Repair, Restore, Uninstall, re-install etc. of the WhatsApp application, but nothing helped. However, when I removed the KB5079492 update, the WhatsApp application started working again.

I am a simple user of both Microsoft and WhatsApp. I found the issue and the solution and reported it. I also reported to Feedback Hub. Now I think that the MS and Meta teams can work together to identify what must be fixed in their software.

Whatsapp is not a Microsoft product.
It's up to Whatsapp to make it work with
Microsoft, not Microsoft to make it work.
You can file Feedback in the Feedback Hub,
Or uninstall the last Insider update if it worked
on the last build.
