Follow these steps that address the current Gmail/Outlook Classic issues.

- Sign-in fix: Version 2404 (Build 17531.10000) or later.
- Gmail permission fix: Current Channel Version 2412 Build 18324.20168 or later.
- If the build is older, select Update Options > Update Now and update Office, then retry adding the Gmail account.
- Retry Gmail sign-in and grant full permissions

- Complete sign-in and finish the account setup.
- If Outlook shows an error window with a Retry link and the build is 2412/18324.20168 or later, select Retry to repeat browser sign-in and this time check that permission box.

-
- Restart Outlook Classic and add the Gmail account again.
- When the Google sign-in window appears, sign in and ensure the Gmail permission “Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail.” is selected.
- If seeing “browser or app may not be secure” or IMAP errors
- Ensure Outlook is on a build that includes the sign-in fix (Version 2404 Build 17531.10000 or later as listed above) and update if needed.
