Issue with outlook email

I am experiencing an issue with Outlook. When I view or draft an email, the text appears centered and defaults to Aptos 10 font, which is not easy to read. I attempted to adjust the settings, but the problem persists.

Interestingly, the issue is somewhat suppressed when running Outlook in Safe Mode. I have already tried removing all add-ins and followed the recommended troubleshooting steps, but the problem remains unresolved.

Could you please advise on how this can be fixed?

Hi MEHROTRA, VIKAS,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your description, I tested the scenario and would like to confirm whether the issue looks similar to the illustration below:

If so, it is very likely that the Immersive Reader feature is currently enabled. You may try opening a new draft email and then turning off this mode to check whether the issue disappears.

Please let me know if this helps or if the behavior remains the same.

It sounds like you are experiencing a display issue with Outlook where the text appears centered and uses the Aptos 10 font. Since the problem is less pronounced in Safe Mode, it suggests that there may be an issue with your normal Outlook settings or a conflict with other software.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

    1. Reset Outlook View: Sometimes, resetting the view can help. Go to the View tab, select Reset View, and confirm the action.
    2. Check Default Font Settings: Ensure that your default font settings are configured correctly. Go to File > Options > Mail > Stationery and Fonts and adjust the settings as needed.
    3. Create a New User Profile: If the issue persists, consider creating a new Outlook profile. This can help if your current profile is corrupted. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles > Add.
    4. Disable Hardware Acceleration: Sometimes, hardware acceleration can cause display issues. You can disable it by going to File > Options > Advanced, and under the Display section, check the box for Disable hardware acceleration.
    5. Repair Office: If none of the above solutions work, you might want to repair your Office installation. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features, select your Office installation, and choose Change to access the repair options.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider checking for updates or reinstalling Outlook as a last resort.
