I have been asking Microsoft for assistance with this same issue. Someone accessing my Microsoft account in Nigeria, Florida, California, DC, NYC, etc using a VPN keeps getting into my account and changing my access. I change the password, have my PC secured with multiple layers of protection only to have someone use it daily.
I have not shared my password, my data or access but this continues. Each step I take is undone in a few minutes by these scammers. They have access to my email account changed that password, applied for credit in my name and been destroying my life slowly.
WHY CAN'T MICROSOFT BLOCK THESE SCAMMERS?

    Hello Fred,

Its really alarming when you notice that someone maybe accessing your computer however I suggest to isolate the device itself, consider changing your computer password right away and check the recovery email for the password or account. Once the computer is stable run the Windows Security go to start menu, type in Windows Security into the search bar then select it to open. From there you do a deeper inspection by selecting Scan options which will allow you to run a Full scan or Offline scan.

Installing an antivirus and firewall software to keep the computer safe from any possible unauthorize access.

I hope this answer is helpful if you have further questions feel free to reply back

    Regards,

    Marcelo

If you suspect that an unknown party has access to your computer, it is important to take immediate action to secure your system. Here are some steps you can follow:

    1. Disconnect from the Internet: Temporarily disconnect your computer from the internet to prevent any unauthorized access.
    2. Run a Full Antivirus Scan: Use your antivirus software to perform a full system scan. This will help identify and remove any malicious software that may have been installed.
    3. Check for Unusual Activity: Look for any unusual programs running on your computer or any changes to your settings that you did not make.
    4. Update Your Software: Ensure that your operating system and all software, especially security software, are up to date. This can help protect against vulnerabilities.
    5. Change Your Passwords: Change passwords for your accounts, especially for sensitive ones such as banking or email accounts.
    6. Enable Firewall: Make sure your firewall is enabled to help block unauthorized access.
    7. Consider a Professional Assessment: If you are not comfortable handling this situation on your own, consider seeking help from a professional technician.

Taking these steps can help you regain control of your computer and protect your personal information.
