A bug in the OneNote app for Android

A bug recently appeared in the OneNote app for Android (Samsung S25 Ultra).

When using a stylus, OneNote doesn't allow you to zoom in and out with your fingers. Swiping your finger causes the app to draw instead of moving the canvas.

How can I fix this?

Hi Sergey,

You can uninstall the current version and try to install an older one, from the link below:

https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/microsoft-corporation/onenote/microsoft-onenote-save-notes-16-0-19127-20320-release/

In the few days, Microsoft would likely fix the bug. Before uninstalling, please do send feedback.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

It seems that the issue you're experiencing with the OneNote app for Android, where the app draws instead of allowing you to zoom with your fingers, could be related to the app's handling of touch gestures when using a stylus. Here are a few steps you can try to potentially resolve this issue:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that your OneNote app is updated to the latest version. Sometimes bugs are fixed in newer releases.
    2. Restart the App: Close OneNote completely and then reopen it. This can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.
    3. Clear Cache: Go to your device's settings, find the OneNote app, and clear its cache. This can help in resolving performance issues.
    4. Check Stylus Settings: Some devices have specific settings for stylus input. Make sure that these settings are configured correctly.
    5. Reinstall the App: If the problem persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the OneNote app. This can help reset any settings that might be causing the issue.
    6. Contact Support: If none of the above solutions work, you may need to reach out to Microsoft support for further assistance.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the issue with zooming in and out while using the stylus in OneNote on your Android device.
