I am attempting to reset my password and i tried to have it send to my email, i press "forgot password" after i enter my email, it says it was sent to my email, then, nothing... not even in my spam, i do it on another service, got an email, did it on another account on outlook, nothing... Is discord just messing up or something? or is it outlook?

I am having this same issue for quite some time. Contacting Discord does not fix the problem. I have no inbox or spam mail from Discord. I've added Discord to my safe senders. I have no special filters.

I've worked with other companies that have told me their email is being rejected from Microsoft servers due to the new mail sending rules. Some companies I can't get through to fix this problem and Discord is one of them.

Please advise how to proceed if you can't even get these companies attention and Microsoft is blocking the email BEFORE it even gets to my mailbox.

    Dear Lucas Mutter

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Community. I understand you are having problems with not receiving Discord password‑reset or verification emails in Outlook.com. I am happy to assist you. Please follow these steps:

Remove any block and explicitly allow Discord

In Outlook.com on the web, go to Settings > Mail > Junk email.

    • In Blocked senders and domains, remove any discord.com entries if present.
    • In Safe senders and domains, add discord.com and save.

This ensures Discord mail is not sent to Junk.

Eliminate hidden filtering (Focused Inbox, rules, forwarding)

    • Check the Other tab in Focused Inbox and set Filter > All to ensure nothing is hidden.
    • Go to Settings > Mail > Rules and delete or disable any rule that moves, deletes, or forwards messages (especially ones mentioning “verification,” “no‑reply,” or “Discord”).
    • Go to Settings > Mail > Forwarding and turn off forwarding, or confirm if the forwarding address is correct and active.

Confirm the mailbox can receive mail

    • If Microsoft cloud storage is full, Outlook.com cannot receive email. Free space under Settings > Storage or at the storage dashboard.
    • If the account is blocked or locked, complete the Unblock flow (you can use any SMS‑capable phone to get the unlock code) and then try the reset again.

    Search and recover misclassified messages

In Outlook.com, search for from:discord.com and also check Junk Email. Mark legitimate items as Not junk to train filtering.

    Retry the Discord side correctly

Use Discord’s Login & Email Troubleshooting Guide. Wait 24 hours between repeated email or verification attempts if you see “changing email too fast” or rate‑limit notices. Then try Forgot your password again. If you still haven’t received mail, open a ticket at Discord Support.

    Help Center : support.discord.com/hc/en-us

    Submit a support ticket: support.discord.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

If Discord confirms delivery on their end but you still don’t see it in Outlook.com, ask them to review sender diagnostics.

Quick isolation to prove where the break is

Send the Discord reset to a different mailbox you control (for example, another provider). If it arrives there but not in Outlook.com, the steps above will fix your Outlook.com mailbox.
