Dear @Camilla
Thank you for confirming those details. Since neither you nor your IT administrator can see the full webinar session in the Teams Admin Center, this means the attendance data was not logged correctly within your organization’s tenant.
As a forum moderator, I unfortunately do not have any access to customer environments, Microsoft 365 tenant data, or meeting metadata. Due to privacy, security, and compliance policies, moderators cannot retrieve or restore attendance reports.
At this stage, your organization must escalate this through its Data Protection team, who can submit a formal request to Microsoft for a tenant‑level investigation.
To submit the request to Data Protection team, your global admin or compliance admin must sign in at https://admin.microsoft.com
In the left‑hand navigation, go to Help & Support > New service request.
When creating the ticket, it is important to classify the issue correctly:
- Category: Data Protection / Privacy
- Issue Type: Missing or incomplete meeting data / Missing Teams attendance report
- Severity: Based on business impact (e.g., attendance needed for compliance or external reporting)
This ensures the case is routed to the Data Protection team, not general Teams support. Microsoft will require the following information for backend telemetry investigation:
- Exact meeting title
- Date and start/end time of the webinar (include time zone)
- Organizer’s UPN (email)
- Approximate expected attendee count
- Confirmation that the webinar ran continuously and met all attendance requirements
- Confirmation that unwanted one‑minute sessions exist
- Confirmation that nothing appears in the Teams Admin Center’s usage reports
- Confirmation that you need retrieval of potentially missing meeting metadata
The admin should clearly state that: “The main webinar session did not register in tenant logs; only two short accidental one‑minute sessions appear. We need a Data Protection / backend investigation to determine whether the original session data exists.”
For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
If you prefer to speak with someone or require immediate assistance, you can also contact Microsoft Data Protection team by phone. Please visit Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support to find the appropriate phone number for your region.
Note:
Sometimes, you may first hear an automated voice message. Please wait until it finishes. If an agent is available, you will then be connected and receive assistance.
After submitting your support ticket, it may take some time for it to be assigned to an agent. Due to the high volume of requests, there could be delays in handling your case. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
In case you purchased it through a service provider, you'll need to reach out to them.
Let me know how it goes on your end. I look forward to your good news.
