My Android phone will not connect to my PC.

I only do this to download images from the phone to my PC for editing etc.

It has worked for many years without problem.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out.

Sorry about the issue you are having. To fix a persistent USB connection issue between your Android phone and Windows PC. You can try these.

When you plug your Android phone into your computer, it usually defaults to charging only, so it won’t show up for file access right away. After connecting the cable, unlock your phone, swipe down to open notifications, tap the USB message (like "Charging this device via USB'), and switch it to File Transfer (MTP). If it still doesn’t connect, the issue may be physical. Try a different USB cable since some cables charge but don’t transfer data, plug into a different USB port on your computer (avoid hubs if possible),

Hope that this helps, You can leave a comment if you have questions.

Thank you,
