Microsoft charged my credit card account on Dec 21, 2025 to renew my Microsoft 365 account. But I just tried to access an excel spreadsheet and all I get is a message about not losing my benefits and to please update payment details in my account.

I've paid for another year so need access to the MS Office products????????

Hello

In Excel, go to Files > Accounts > Update license, sign in again and see if that refreshes and fixes the issue.

It sounds like you're experiencing issues accessing your Microsoft 365 account despite having renewed your subscription. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Subscription Status: Ensure that your subscription is active. You can do this by logging into the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and checking under Billing > Your products.
    2. Payment Details: Since you received a message about updating payment details, verify that your payment information is correct and up to date. If there are any issues with the payment method, it might affect your access.
    3. Reactivate Subscription: If your subscription is not active, you may need to reactivate it. Look for an option to reactivate your subscription in the admin center.
    4. Contact Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Microsoft 365 Support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance based on your account status.

Following these steps should help you regain access to your Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office products.
