I was on with Microsoft today, the answer I got was the servers that accessed the Internet for CD information have been retired with no plans to replace or reactivate the servers. Now you have to manually enter all CD information

I just thought I'd leave an update here. On Feeback Hub, this question or similar questions related to this issue, passed over to Feeback Hub staff. So hopefully we should have an update hopefully sometime soon?

It seems that you are experiencing an issue with Windows Media Player (WMP) where the "find album info" feature is no longer functioning, and you are receiving a message indicating that Xbox Live is unavailable. This issue could be related to changes in how Windows Media Player interacts with online services for retrieving album information.

As of now, there is no specific information in the provided context regarding the exact cause of this issue in Windows 11 or a direct solution. However, it is worth noting that Microsoft has been shifting focus towards newer applications and services, which may affect legacy features in WMP.

You might consider checking for any updates to Windows or WMP, or exploring alternative methods for retrieving album information, such as using third-party software or services that specialize in music metadata. Additionally, you could look into the settings of WMP to ensure that it is configured correctly to access online services.

If the issue persists, you may want to consult Microsoft's support resources or community forums for further assistance.
