The OneDrive app recently got an update version 7.45 that causes the app to crash instantly when opened specifically on Samsung phones. Our entire org uses mostly Samsung devices. Is there a way in InTune to reverse the update and if not is there any way to get around OneDrive crashing on Samsung devices?

Temp fix:

  1. Allow Contacts permissions for both the OneDrive app and the Samsung Account system app. You can use App Configuration Policies to do this via Intune

if that doesn’t work:

  1. Add the Samsung Account in Intune and uninstall it from the phones. This worked the most reliably for me

I had the same problem. Samsung Account App stopped working, showed a message and blocked Onedrive from starting correctly. Turned out that all of my Samsung apps did not update automatically (this is seperately from the Google Play Store). Solution: open Samsung Galaxy Store and update all apps -> problem with both Onedrive and Samsung Account solved
