Hello,
Thanks for the temporary workarounds. Unfortunately, neither of them works in our environment, so I wanted to provide some additional context.
We attempted to apply the “Contacts permission” workaround through Intune App Configuration Policies. However, the OneDrive Android app doesn’t expose a managed configuration schema through Managed Google Play, so Intune does not display the usual permission dropdown. We manually configured the permission overrides (Auto grant), but this did not resolve the issue.
Additionally, we tested directly on a physical device by:
- Manually granting the Contacts permission in Android settings,
- Clearing the OneDrive app cache and app data,
- Relaunching the app.
Even with the permission granted locally on the device, OneDrive 7.45 still crashes instantly on Samsung devices.
2. Removing the Samsung Account app
This workaround is not applicable in our environment:
- Our Samsung devices are enrolled as Android Enterprise Fully Managed.
- In this configuration, the Samsung Account app is not installed, does not appear in system apps, and cannot be added or removed via Managed Google Play.
- Therefore, we cannot deploy it nor uninstall it as suggested.
Our last hope is a fix by Microsoft, and a quick reinstall org-wide by putting the app as Uninstall and waiting for replication.
