Location is incorrect on Bing

Question

Location is incorrect on Bing

Super Mario Dinosaurs 5

Hello, I come here today to ask how on how I can fix my location on Bing because I've tried everything to fix it as it gave me a location in my US state unrelated to the one I reside in and I tried fixing it in my settings of my device but nothing was fixed is why I am wondering what to do.

I'm having the same issue with Bing maps. Had it with google maps and apple maps. Got them to fix it but amazon uses Bing maps apparently. it's wrong here to by a more than a quarter mile and need to get it fixed too.

I keep getting Bing Weather showing me Bing weather notifications in Norwich - a place 150 miles away .

I have ensure MSN , Edge, Maps and even MSN weather, have my correct location and all MS settings show my correct location. ( although the weather forecast is different to say BBC.)

I sent in a query and received an email from Case Management which responded

"We have reviewed your request and are not able to remove the content you presented.

Bing limits removal of displayed search results to a narrow set of circumstances so that we do not overly restrict access of information to the public. "

Clearly this was a response, not from a BOT, but an real person.

Does Microsoft employ people with common sense?

I have checked the location settings in Bing and MSN and Mac OS they all show my correct location.

I am a retired person - no buisness etc. so when my Notifications show Bing Weather location it is just in explicable.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Is this location showing incorrectly when you search on Bing in general, or is it related to a business/location listing you manage (for example through Bing Webmaster Tools or Bing Places)?

If this is about a business or website location, please check:

Are you using Bing Webmaster Tools?
If yes, have you already claimed and verified the listing in Bing Places for Business?
Also make sure the address and location details there are accurate and up to date, as Bing often pulls location data from verified listings.

If this is happening during normal searches, please let me know.

Let me know which situation applies to you, and I’ll guide you step by step from there.

Hi John,

I am having a similar issue, and I'm wondering if you can help with this. I run a Google Business Profile for my company, but it was recently brought to my attention that the Bing location profile (we don't run or use Bing at all for our locations) is listed at the incorrect address. Do you have any tips on how to go about getting this changed without having to create a new profile/get verified by Bing?

I have changed every setting per the various chats and nothing has worked. There is no “change” button to change location. I have changed all the settings on my MacAir computer and my iPhone to always use my locarion. Bing searches for “near me” shows Tempe AZ and I live 30 miles easr in Apache Junction
