Other issues or features related to Microsoft Edge on Windows 11
Open Edge.
Click the 3 dots at the top right and open Edge Settings.
Type Copilot in the settings search box.
Click Copilot in the resulting list and check if the 'Show Copilot button on the toolbar' setting is enabled.
The Copilot option was already enabled in the settings. 😥
If that setting was not the problem, the best option, because Edge cannot be uninstalled is to download the Edge installer form this link and use that to re-install Edge on top of the existing Edge installation, if that does not resolve the problem, there may be a bug in the new Edge update, press Alt + Shift + i to open the Edge Feedback panel and report this to the Edge developers there so they can investigate the problem..
Thank you for your reply. I tried all the suggested steps, but unfortunately none of them worked including re-installing Edge.
Today, I changed my Microsoft account photo, but it didn’t update in my browser profile—even after restarting Edge. Then I tried signing out and back into Edge, and surprisingly, that fixed it. The Copilot Chat icon appeared in the top-right corner, and I can now use it. Also, the Summarize with Copilot and Rewrite with Copilot options in the menu came back. I’m so happy now that I don’t need to use Copilot from copilot.microsoft.com .
