Can't type on lock screen

Out of the blue this week, I've been having trouble logging into my computer every time I start it (many hours after having shut it down). When the lock screen comes up, the mouse works, and the cursor is blinking, but the keyboard does not function. Nothing can be typed in the box to enter my numerical password. I have to restart it, and that seems to fix it.

This is now happening every. single. time. It was working fine prior to this week and only seems to happen when I start, not when I REstart.

I have changed no settings, so no change I have made has caused this to happen.

This problem is caused by an out of band update (KB5070773) that was released to fix a problem in the original October update, many people are now reporting their keyboard only works after restarting their device, the best option is to open the Feedback Hub app in Windows and report this to their developers there, the more people that report the problem with keyboards not working until after a restart, the sooner they will provide a patch for this problem.
