Migration from CDN to Front Door did not finish - can't edit resource

I have the same problem as the submitter of the following question:

I started migrating a classic CDN resource to an AFD profile. The migration has succeeded but I cannot edit the front door because it still is in 'CommittingMigration' state. All the powershell commands suggested in the linked post do not work with the same error:

The requested operation cannot be executed on the entity in the current state.

From looking at the chain of comments on the accepted answer there it looks like someone needs to manually reset the state of the resource. Can you help me out with this?

I understand that you're having trouble with your Azure Front Door migration and it's stuck in the 'CommittingMigration' state.

Our Internal team cleaned up invalid data and set the profile to migrating state. Now you can be able to try migrating again and it should succeed.
