The borders on tables in Microsoft Word keep disappearing for all people in my company

For all users at our business, when we open up Word files with tables within them, the borders of the tables disappear and we have to manually add them back. Does anyone know why this happens and what we can do to fix this?

Found this statement it has been fixed on Nov 5 - but no info on build #, release plans, etc. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/in-a-coauthored-word-document-table-formats-get-corrupted-1e58f9a1-df7a-48be-b82c-d76131dc2319

Moderator's edit (11/17):

That page was updated on November 13. They are still working on it.

I found a fix which uses Macros and the Develop tools in Word.

I lost all my table gridlines but fortunately I only need to reapply only 1 style to all 100s of tables

To enable Developer tool in word, follow this link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/show-the-developer-tab-e1192344-5e56-4d45-931b-e5fd9bea2d45

Then follow this video guide for the macro:

Revisit the support page. It was updated on November 13. The fix they tried did not work. They are still working on one that will.

It's getting even worse. Before the tables were losing formatting. Now some of they are getting additional formatting. So very simple tables that just had 2 cells with plain text are now bold. It's not just adding bold to the top cell as if it were a header, it's adding bold to both cells!
