Long booting time on Surface Go 3

Hi,
Recently, I’ve been experiencing very long booting times on my Surface Go 3. I tried repairing Windows and even reinstalling the entire system, but the booting was still much slower than before. Finally, I decided to perform a full recovery using the Surface Recovery Image, but without success. These are my latest boot times.

I have all latest updates (for example UEFI 16.106.143). And furthermore, I think the computer is stuck on the first loading screen with the Windows Logo (maybe something with the UEFI ?), booting on the second loading screen with the Win logo and rotating circle is quick as ever. Is there anything I can do?

I'm having the exactly same issue; first boot logo takes exactly one minute.

I also tried to deactivate alternate boot devices like USB or PXE, without success.

Entering the UEFI takes also one minute

Hi, guys, I found my Go3 with this issue maybe 2 weeks ago. At first, I thought it was the system problem. I cleaned all of the data and reinstall the system. No matter I installed Windows 11 or Windows 10, it would stuck in the Microsoft logo over 30 sec. Even I uesd the official restore image, it still happened. I am so confused that what happen. Finally, I see this post, I know I am not the only one.

Logically speaking, my Battery health is 93% and SSD health is 92%, I just can't find the problem. I search in Baidu, there is less people using this machine in China, no result.

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. This all started with the last firmware update in early October.

I contacted Surface support, and they refuse to acknowledge that it's either a firmware error on their part or they're trying to do what other brands have done and render our devices obsolete.

I told support all of this, and they haven't responded at all.

I have the very same issue, it started in early October 2025. The boot process seems stuck at the UEFI boot, for about a minute, then the system boots as usual. It is a quite annoying issue. I have not yet tried the workaround from 'linko 123'.
