I have one Outlook group that I send a couple of times a week, 27 names. For the first time, Outlook said I surpassed by daily allotment of group emails and has restricted group emails for 24 hours. How do I fix this inappropriate block?

Thanks for the details. Is your account new or have you recently added many new recipients?

For personal Outlook.com accounts, there’s a daily limit on how many recipients you can email, and sometimes sending to a group of 28, even a few times a week, can trigger a temporary 24‑hour block. The best approach is to wait for the block to lift, then send to smaller sub‑groups instead of all 28 at once, keep your sending pace steady, and avoid sending many emails rapidly. If blocks continue despite normal use, check your account for unusual activity and make sure it’s secure.

Thanks for the details. Are you using a personal Outlook account or a work/school Microsoft 365 account, and is this group a distribution list or a contact list you created?

Microsoft blocks sending to groups when you exceed the daily recipient limit, which for most accounts is automatic and lifts after 24 hours. There’s no way to manually remove the block. The best approach is to wait for the 24‑hour period to end, then resume sending, and consider sending to smaller groups or splitting emails if you send frequently to multiple recipients.
