I can't log in to my other account, its the one I have my Xbox subscription attached to as well.

I try to log in using the correct username, then it tells me my password is incorrect.

OK. so i go to reset it

Try to login using my new password...

"incorrect password"

OK so i go to reset it

"New password can't be old password"

Fascinating.

Make a new password

Try to login...

"Incorrect password"

now my account is locked

Help. I have exhausted my options on the AI slop screen and the account checker keeps telling me there is nothing wrong with my account ..

The AI Slop phone assistant talks in circles and doesn't help, redirecting me to the aforementioned AI slop account checker "sign in assistant" that does nothing to help.

please give me a real person to talk to. I'm stuck in a loop and can't log in on my laptop or on my xbox.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Repeated password resets might have blocked your account temporarily.

The reason why your new password might not be accepted because of a browser cache issue that could be storing old login data. However, there can be several other reasons why it didn't work at that time.

So, in this situation, the first step you've to do is wait for 24 hours without attempting to log in with your account or reset it. Sometimes waiting a day can be enough to remove a block. Don't make lots of repeated attempts, as this may reset any time lock.

If you're having the same problem after 24 hours, you can try the account recovery form.

Important: The account recovery form can only be used if two-step verification isn't turned on.

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.
