    Hi,

This is happening for me as well same behavior I did try the steps above of uninstalling the application and quitting the application as well but after every 3-4th reboot, The issue resurfaces.

Is there a permanent solution to this issue?

For me I can confirm this issue started after the most recent update of Microsoft Teams version 26276.515.5267.3634

    1. Teams Business
    2. Desktop only, not the web or mobile
    3. All the group or individual chats not channels

4.Yes, But after three to four reboots the issue starts happening again

    Hi @Sumannta Chatterjee,

I have got images working now in Desktop Teams. Note: Images were showing ok in Teams Web App and in Teams Mobile App.

The steps that support took me through were:

    Method 1: Reset the app

Note: When you reset the Teams app, the app data will be deleted. This includes any personalization settings that you might have configured.

    1. Type settings in the search box, and then select the Settings app from the results.
    2. Select Apps > Installed apps, and then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
    3. Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options.
    4. In the Reset section, select Reset.
    5. Restart Teams.

    Method 2: Delete the files

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar, and then select Quit.
    2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
    3. In the Run dialog box, enter the following path, and then select OK. %userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
    4. Delete all files and folders in the directory.
    5. Restart Teams.

Neither of these worked for me - but technican indicated they are all that is normally required.

Method 3: Uninstall and Reinstall Teams

    1. Completely Uninstall Teams
    2. Restart your machine
    3. then re-install Teams using link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/microsoft-teams/download-app?msockid=1ccb15b5452b6e88335a03d144b46f7a

This worked for me - appreciate that you may need to get your central admin involved if you don't have permission to run these steps.

    Hope that helps

    Hi @Sumannta Chatterjee

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your issue, may I kindly ask a few questions to help understand your issue better:

    • I saw that you posted your question on Teams under the Business category so to better support you, could you please confirm whether you're using a Home account (e.g., Gmail, Hotmail) or a Business (typically associated with a domain name like your company or school) account?
    • Does this issue happen on Teams desktop or Teams on the web or Teams mobile?
    • Does this happen for all Teams channels or only specific ones?
    • Are other users in your organization experiencing the same issue?
    • Have you tried clearing Teams cache to see if it helps fix the issue? For more details, please refer to: Clear the Teams client cache. (Note: Remember to end Teams task on Windows > type Task Manager click on Teams and end Task and Restart your device before clearing Teams cache)

Hope to hear back from you soon.

The initial response may not fully address your needs, but it will help me better understand your situation. Once I get the information, I will try my best to find the next steps.
