Windows 11 system requirements met, but it doesn’t download for installation

I ran a systems check and am told that my pc can run Windows 11 but it never downloads to install. I only get this message "Your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. Specific timing for when it will be offered can vary as we get it ready for you."

Is there anything I can do to prompt the download?

TIA

This typically means that Microsoft is staggering the rollout of the update to ensure a smooth experience across different hardware configurations. Microsoft doesn't release major updates like Windows 11 to everyone at once. Instead, they:

  • Monitor for issues: They start with newer or more compatible devices to ensure there are no widespread bugs.
  • Gradually expand availability: If everything goes smoothly, they expand the rollout to more devices.
  • Delay for specific hardware: If your PC has hardware or drivers that might cause problems, Microsoft may delay the update until those issues are resolved.

This approach helps prevent problems and ensures a smoother experience for everyone.

But, if you are eager to upgrade to windows 11, try downloading the Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installation-media-for-windows-99a58364-8c02-206f-aa6f-40c3b507420d just follow the steps.
