Why can't I redeem Rewards Points for Amazon gift cards?

Question

Why can't I redeem Rewards Points for Amazon gift cards?

Rat Wrangler 20

Last month, I had no problems redeeming some points for Amazon gift cards. I did so twice, and both times went smoothly. Today, I cannot even redeem points for a $5 gift card, as the option is not available. I have found no explanation so far on Microsoft's nor Amazon's sites. Why was this option removed, and why wasn't I notified? Thanks.

I wish I could have progressed to what the users below have got to. In my case, clicking on my Microsoft Redemption URL comes up with a new Window in my Chrome browser and there is no prompt for me to enter the security (PIN?) code.

The case is being handled by Microsoft Rewards helpdesk twice. I have been in contact with Amazon.de Helpdesk for assistance for over an hour but without success. Their advice is to contact Microsoft for assistance.

Can anyone else please chip in some helpful hints?

I wasn't able to redeem my rewards for Amazon gift cards for some time (due to 'out of stock' of such), and now I can't redeem due to "You're previewing a catalog item that you're not eligible to redeem due to region or other restrictions". What does it mean? I didn't change my living location.

Hi, thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I’m happy to help.

Some Microsoft Rewards options frequently run out of stock due to high demand in your region. If you see a gift card but it says “Not available right now,” the most common reason is that it is out of stock.

They are typically restocked periodically, but Microsoft has not announced a specific schedule for when this will happen. I recommend checking your Redeem page regularly so you can be among the first to redeem them as soon as they become available. Thank you!

I've had the same problem for the past few weeks. They say to check back, but Microsoft never restocks them.

My wife has always been able to redeem her Bing points for Amazon gift cards and I have not been able to for at least a year. Doesn't make any sense.
