Thanks for reaching out. I am here to help.

That error usually happens when a subscription that came bundled with a new PC conflicts with an existing Microsoft account or subscription. In short, Office does not know which license to honor, so it blocks activation.

    Here’s what I recommend:

    1. Confirm which subscription is active

Sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services with the same Microsoft account you normally use.

Check if the subscription shows up there.

    1. Check if you redeemed the bundled subscription with a different account

If you don’t see the subscription in your main account, try signing in with any alternate Microsoft accounts you may have.

    1. Deactivate the conflicting subscription

If both subscriptions are showing, remove the trial or OEM subscription.

You can manage and cancel unused ones at the same Services & subscriptions page.

    1. Re-sign into Office apps

    Close all Office apps.

Go to Windows Settings > Accounts > Access work or school.

Disconnect any unused Microsoft or work accounts.

Open Word again and sign in only with the account that has the active subscription.

    1. If still blocked

You may need to contact Microsoft Support to unlink the PC-bundled subscription and consolidate it under your main Microsoft account. Provide them with proof of purchase if asked.

Just to set your expectation, if the 3-year subscription came with the PC, Microsoft may need to confirm it with the device manufacturer. If it was redeemed to the wrong account, they may not be able to transfer it, but they will tell you the exact status and options.

Here’s the official link to manage Microsoft 365 subscriptions purchased through a third party or OEM: Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription

If you still need help or have additional questions, just let me know, and I’ll be glad to assist further.

    Cheers!
