Hello, my Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Program subscription (PII removed) is showing as inactive and at risk of expiration. However, I have been actively developing solutions in this tenant, including:

  • Teams: Created teams and channels, posted messages as test users.
  • SharePoint: Created sites and uploaded files.
  • Outlook: Sent emails and created calendar events.
  • Power Platform: Built Power Automate flows and Power Apps.
  • Microsoft Graph: Registered an app and made API calls.

My usage is visible in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Entra ID sign-in logs, but the Developer Dashboard is displaying the warning now. I have only 19 days left before my subscription expires.

This subscription is critical for my development work. Could you please confirm if this is a telemetry delay or advise on how to ensure renewal?Screenshot 2025-09-19 at 23-30-49 Usage - Microsoft 365 admin center

Hi @Vigram Karunanithy
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A.
Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your organization's domain name in the description. Please note that you should hide this personal or organizational information the next time you post a bug or some information to protect personal data.

I completely understand how critical this subscription is for your development work, and I know the warning can be stressful. The renewal process is not checked in real time—it runs on an automated schedule that can appear irregular. As a forum moderator, I don’t have access to Microsoft’s internal systems or the ability to override this process, because renewals are fully determined by the back-end system.

Here are my suggestions for this situation:

1.Keep performing diverse developer activities in your tenant—such as building or updating apps, running Power Automate flows, using Microsoft Graph, and interacting across Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook. These signals help the system recognize valid usage.

2.The dashboard may take a while to reflect your activity. It’s common for the warning to remain visible until the next evaluation cycle.

3.If the warning persists, open a support request from your developer tenant’s Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Include your tenant ID, domain, and a summary of recent developer actions. While moderators can’t trigger renewals, support can review telemetry and confirm the status (as this subscription is not commercial-based, asking Support Team to renew this is not possible).

4.If renewal doesn’t occur, back up important data now. You’ll typically have a grace period before deletion, but it’s best to be proactive.

I hope this information helps you. It is best to prepare for all of this with my above suggestions.
