I NEED to have my taskbar on the left of my main screen. It does not want to move.

Dear Elizabeth S Chase ,

In Windows 11, the taskbar has been redesigned with a modern architecture, and as a result, the ability to move it to the left, right, or top of the screen is currently not supported natively. The only available customization is the alignment of taskbar icons (center or left), which can be adjusted via Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors.

We recognize that this limitation may impact productivity for users with multi-window setups. While Microsoft continues to evaluate user feedback, some customers have explored third-party tools such as Start11 to restore legacy taskbar behavior. Please note that these are not officially supported by Microsoft.

We encourage you to submit feedback through the Feedback Hub, which helps our product teams prioritize future enhancements.

If my answer is useful for you, please give it a vote.

Best regards,

Quinnie Quoc.
