Hi,

I'm using Bing Custom Search as KB, but I wanted to know what happens when the site contains images? Will the images (or text within them) also be taken into account, or does it only pull text-based content from the webpage?

Hi Lakshana,

No, the images are not taken into account when using Grounding with Bing Custom Search.

I've tested an agent utilizing Grounding with Bing Custom Search by giving it different url which only contained an image. The agent was unable to describe the image, including those encoded in base64 format.

Even if the images contain text, they will not be taken into account.

Yes, Grounding with Bing Custom Search only pulls text-based content from the webpage.

Feel free to accept it as an answer.
