Thank you Machina for providing this fix!!
I have 3 windows 11 computers networked along with 2 windows 7 computers.
The listed commands in the solution had an extra space, so I removed the space and they worked.
These are the steps and commands (in bold) with space removed to copy and paste in powershell:
type into windows search box: powershell
Right click on app icon before opening & select: run as Administrator
powershell will open
copy and paste commands below into powershell window:
Get-SMBClientConfiguration hit enter (shows long list-look for the two below to see if they match, if not change them) Scroll up and down to see all items. (EnableInsecureGuestLogons is closer to the top, the other near the bottom)
In powershell, paste the command below into the command line (if you need to change it) and hit enter
Set-SMBClientConfiguration -EnableInsecureGuestLogons $true
then type "y" for yes when requested and enter.
Again in powershell paste the command below into the command line (if you need to change it) and hit enter
Set-SMBClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false
then type "y" for yes when requested and enter.
restart computer and Public Folder will now show for all computers on your network.
