The update you are having trouble installing is just a Preview update. If you are not experiencing any issues with your system, there is no need to install the Preview update, you can wait until it is released (usually in the second week of the month).

On the Windows Update page settings, you can turn off 'Get the latest updates as soon as they're available', which will prevent Windows Update from offering optional updates.
