Read Aloud seems to have been moved in right click menu to more tools. Is this any way to move it out of there, so it is more easily accessible?

    Hello liam,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A

For your information, currently, Microsoft Edge does not provide a built-in option to move Read Aloud back from the More Tools submenu to the main right-click context menu. This change appears to be part of a recent UI update, and there is no official setting to customize the context menu layout.

However, here are some alternatives you can use to access Read Aloud feature easily:

    1. Use the Keyboard Shortcut Press Ctrl + Shift + U to start or stop Read Aloud instantly. This is the fastest method.
You can explore more keyboard shortcut at this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/keyboard-shortcuts-in-microsoft-edge-50d3edab-30d9-c7e4-21ce-37fe2713cfad
    2. Add It to the Toolbar
      • Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner.
      • Go to Settings > Appearance > Toolbar.
      • Under Select which buttons to show on the toolbar, look for Read Aloud (if available) and toggle it on.
    3. Use the Address Bar Button When on a readable page, you may see a Read Aloud this page button in the address bar. Click it to start reading.

Thanks for your understanding, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything else we can support you with. If you agree with our suggestion, feel free to interact with the system accordingly!

    Hello liam,

Thank you for reaching to Microsoft Q&A and informed us about the issue. Unfortunately, there is no method to move the read aloud feature out of the right-click menu at the moment due to the recent Microsoft Edge update. But there's a few workaround that can help you to access Read Aloud function quickly:

    • Keyboard shortcut: Press simultaneously Ctrl + Shift U key to enable Read Aloud instantly
    • Address bar Icon: When you're viewing a website or a page with text. the Read Aloud icon may appear in the address bar, if it appear, click it to use the feature
    • Use Extensions: click on the three dot on the top right of Edge > Extensions > search for Read Aloud and get the extensions. Once you get the extensions, there's a pin icon next to it > click on the icon to pin the feature on the taskbar.
