Outlook spam/junk filter has been so bad lately

Over the last week or two, the Outlook junk filter has been terrible. I've been getting more and more obviously spam emails through to the inbox. These are emails with crazy email addresses as well as content that looks like it's from a Geocities or Myspace page.

I don't have Strict turned on as I don't want to manage email lists, but these emails are so ridiculously spam that Microsoft/Outlook should be able to figure it out. For example this amazing one below, from ******@luigfuds.546.com

Looking at the source, it looks like there are a number of headers that look like they are Anti spam. Even after manually marking this as spam, similar emails are continually coming in.

Can we jack up the AI logic for this please? User's image

Microsoft's Spam filtering is terrible and they don't give users any options for handling mail delivered directly to Junk. So say we all.

Unless you are ready to change email hosting services, all I can suggest is that you look at the Answer by "Hornblower409 Apr 2026"

That Answer has instructions for how to vote for some Feature Request that would give users more control over their Junk folder and some suggestions for MANUAL processes you can use to pick out and Delete any "known" Spam from the Junk folder so you don't have so much to sift thru looking for legitimate emails.

Hi! Sorry to hear that you have troubles with this, if settings from your spam filter has changed, you could try to update your settings for spam filters, also you can keep blocking the ones you consider spam and mark as spam prior this, so the system learns your preferences, most cases just for blocking one email address wont result on similar ones blocked as that could cause that some that are actually not spam result marked as spam, or if you feel there's something to improve on the Outlook development, you could share the feedback, in the ribbon, select help and then feedback, this gets directly to the developers.
