Why doesn't Outlook on macOS automatically show my team's calendar based on org chart like on Windows?

On Windows, using Outlook Desktop, my calendar automatically includes calendars for the groups/teams I'm in, and the team I lead, based on the organization chart in Microsoft 365.

However, on macOS, neither the Classic Outlook nor the New Outlook shows these calendars automatically.

What I’ve found so far:

  • This feature worked on Windows, but doesn't appear to be supported on macOS, at least not yet.
  • Based on Microsoft documentation and online forums, the old Outlook for Mac (Classic) used EWS, which didn’t support this functionality.
  • The New Outlook for Mac has moved away from EWS (which is planned to be deprecated by October 1, 2026), but this feature still hasn't been implemented.
  • I couldn’t find any option or workaround in either version of Outlook on my Mac.
  • Microsoft’s official documentation and support articles only describe how this works in Windows versions of Outlook:
  • Microsoft 365 Roadmap does not mention this feature being planned for macOS Outlook.

Is this feature planned for macOS in the future? If not, is there a manual way or workaround to display my team's calendar(s) based on the organization chart in Outlook for Mac?

Hi Levi

Thank you for taking the time to explore the Outlook's function in such depth. It’s clear that you’ve already gathered nearly all of the most current and relevant information available from Microsoft.

We understand your concern regarding the absence of automatic team calendar integration based on organizational charts in Outlook for macOS. This feature is currently available in Outlook for Windows, where calendars for your team or direct reports are automatically displayed using organizational data from Microsoft 365.

Unfortunately, this functionality is not yet supported in Outlook for macOS - the automatic display of team calendars based on org chart is not currently implemented. We recognize this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely regret any disruption this may have caused to your workflow.

In the meantime, we’d like to offer the following workarounds to help you manage team calendars effectively on macOS:

Manually Add Shared Calendars

You can manually add calendars for your team members by selecting “Add Shared Calendar” in the Calendar view and searching for their names.

Use Outlook Web App (OWA)

The web version of Outlook at https://outlook.office.com/ offers broader calendar integration features and may better support your needs.

Additionally, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share your feedback directly with us through the Feedback feature in Outlook by going to Outlook > Help > Feedback > Suggest a Feature or go to

You actually can't manually add the calendars. In the browser if you try to add them, Microsoft will tell you they've already been added, because they're autopopulated as part of the Team calendar group. And in the app, you go through the steps of adding the calendar but the calendar doesn't appear. So there's actually no way on a Mac to see the calendars of the people you work most closely with on an ongoing basis. This is a huge miss for Outlook.
