A possible hack in my hotmail.com email.

All email that I receive also show up in my junk as a forwarded message to another email address with a fotanet email. It's being rejected with asp.relay-shared.jellyfishsystems.

I saw instruction on another post to check for forwarding rules that may have been set up, as well as removing any aliases I did not recognize. There was a forwarding rule set up to the fotanet email, which I have now removed, I have also deleted an alias that was set up as my cell number, which I could have set up myself, but don't remember doing it, so I deleted it. The only access is via my email address and I have changed my password.

The issue now is, I am still getting the same copy of my emails showing up in my junk folder with the same failed to forward to the fotanet email. Even after turning off all rules, and ensuring mail forwarding was disabled and turning off the POP and IMAP settings.

Is there any way to stop these copy emails from appearing, prior to removing the rules if someone sent me and email, they also got the failed to forward message to them as well, I can confirm that this email no longer gets sent back to the original sender now that the rule was removed. It seems as though it is just the copy email in my junk folder now. Any assistance with this is appreciated.

Hello,

Besides checking the rules and alias, can you please make sure you do this on a computer, not on smartphone or tablet. Go to https://www.outlook.com and log in, click on the gear icon in the top right to launch the settings.

Then check the conditional formating, if it's there, delete it.

Then, check Forwarding and IMAP, If any items are present, delete them as well.

===========

If they still continue to happen, can you tell me - are they only affecting emails previous forwarded (before you removed the rules)?
