losing a PowerPoint presentation can be stressful! Let’s try to track it down:
- Check Recent Documents:
- Open PowerPoint and go to File > Open > Recent.
- See if your missing file is listed there.
- Search Your Computer:
- Use the search bar (Windows Search or macOS Spotlight) to look for keywords from your file name or even "PowerPoint" if you're unsure of the name.
- Look in your Downloads, Documents, or Desktop folders.
- Look for Autosaved Versions:
- PowerPoint often autosaves files. Check for an autosaved version by opening PowerPoint, navigating to File > Info > Manage Document > Recover Unsaved Presentations.
- Check OneDrive or Cloud Storage:
- If you use OneDrive or another cloud service, log in and check if the file is stored there. Many Microsoft 365 setups automatically save files to OneDrive.
- Email Attachments:
- If you ever emailed the presentation, check your Sent folder to see if it's attached.
- Check on your OneDrive: possible the files has been sync into your OneDrive account.
- Sign in to the https://onedrive.live.com and check on the recent files
- check on the recycle bin and other folders
- try searching using the name of the file
