No "Rename" option after searching for file in folder

Hello,

A colleague shared a folder on OneDrive with me with editing permissions. I can rename files in this folder, but when I use the Search option to find a specific file in this folder and I want to rename it, there is no Rename option when I right-click on the file. I need to find and rename several files in a folder, manually searching for a specific file and renaming it in the entire folder takes a very long time.

I only use OneDrive through the browser, I don't use OneDrive through the Windows application and there's no way for me to use it.

I kindly ask for your support

Thank you in advance

Best regards

    Dear DAMIAN GAJDA,

    Thank you for reaching out

According to our testYES, I get the same behavior as you. we believe it’s a bug or part of the OneDrive design. Pease consider informing this issue to the OneDrive developer team so they will take a action and fix this issue in future updates

Until then As a workaround you might can try the below method. you can now easily find it by looking through the favorite marks right click on it open the file location then you can look for the star mark and easily edit the file. Then you can rename it accordingly.

Please inform the OneDrive developer team by proving feedback
