Why doesn't removing a student in Teams remove them from Class notebook?

The support documents say that if the notebook was created in Teams then the student must be removed from the Teams class first. I have done this over 24 hours ago and the Notebook still shows the deleted student.

Following the add / remove student link takes me to a new page asking which class notebook would I like to add or remove students from, but none of my classes appear.

    I understand your concern and to my knowledge, I would like to convey that removing the student from the Class Team will remove the student to access the Class Notebook but to remove the Student Notebook section from the Class Notebook, we need to delete the Student Notebook section folder in the SharePoint Online associated with the Class Team.

    I request you follow the steps in recorded video (**recorded video is uploaded to my personal OneDrive and shared it to you via private message)**in your SharePoint Online site associated with the Class Team to deleted the Student Notebook section from the Class Notebook of the Class Team.
