To Do Desktop App is opening Outlook Items in web instead of desktop

I just started to use the To Do desktop app. When I access a flagged email from the To Do app I'm giving the opportunity to "Open in Outlook". When I click on that, the email is opened in Outlook for Web; however, I want it to open in Outlook Desktop. I think I have every default mail setting set to open in "New Outlook" but this is still happening.

This isn't resolved for me yet. I wound up switching back to the old desktop version of Outlook and using the built in To Do app from there rather than the stand alone To Do app. With the built in app, from old desktop version, the link does open in the desktop outlook.
