I can't redeem my token for MSOffice 365. I get message "TokenStateInactive" when I enter my product key

When I enter the product key for the MS 365 subscription I bought from Currys UK i get the message. "An error occurred at our end TokenstateInactive"

We'll add your product key to ******@outlook.com Change

Something happened on our end. Waiting a bit might help. Error Code:

    What licence? You cannot use a Personal key on the pre-installed O365 Family Trial version

    I am having a similar issue with the same error code, having bought a new laptop recently (also from Currys), along with a lifetime MS office 2021 subscription.

    I have checked but appear to have no active trail versions.
