Hi there, The read aloud feature on Word hasn't been working on my phone for a week now. I have tried all of the basic troubleshooting on it and still the problem remains (whereby when I ask it to read aloud, there is no voice, just a jumbled razor blade kind of sound).I desperately hope you can help me with this. I'm a disabled person reliant on this feature for work.Laura Shenton

Hello Anna, and thank you for your speedy reply.

All other apps are working fine. I've done all the troubleshooting you mention here but still with no result.

    Hi Laura

I'm AnnaThomas and I'd happily help you with your question. In this Forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Sorry for the trouble this might have caused, I will be asking a few questions and then providing answers along the way.

Does it work on other apps or just Word? Have you tried updating the Word app?

If none of these suggestions work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Word app on your device. To do this, go to the Google Play Store and search for “Microsoft Word”. Tap on the “Uninstall” button to remove the app from your device, then tap on the “Install” button to reinstall it.

I hope this helps ;-), let me know if this is contrary to what you need, I would still be helpful to answer more of your questions.

    Best Regards,

    AnnaThomas
