Sway keeps forcing a refresh then completely crashes and sends me back to Sway Home. How can I fix this?

When editing in sway (adding text/images etc.) after 15 seconds (on average) Sway will pop up with a message saying something has gone wrong and I need to refresh. It losses about the last couple of seconds of editing that I had been doing when it refreshes. Every 4-5 times this happens I get a green screen telling me to return to sway Home as something has gone wrong.

Hi All,

As per the updates from the related team, the problem was mitigated and I request you to check whether you still have the same problem at your end. If yes, please clear the browser cache and cookies to check whether you still encounter the same problem.

If you still encounter the problem please contact the IT admin of your organization and create the support ticket from the Office 365 Admin center for further investigation with the developing team. Reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs

Appreciate your patience and stay safe!!

Best Regards,

Chitrahaas

Having the same issue as well. Since my organization is fairly large it's hard to track down who has permissions to submit a support ticket.

Was anyone else able to successfully submit a support ticket?

Working on a project and am constantly losing work..

    Hi Helen,

    Thank you for the reply.

I tested it again on my side with different browsers, however, I still couldn't repro this issue.

Since we can't reproduce the issue in our environment and other users have the same problem on your side, the problem maybe relate to the backend, more resources need to be involved on the issue in your environment. I suggest you contact the administrator in your company if you aren’t the administrator and follow the steps in the article to open a ticket, this is a most efficient way to fix the issue in your environment. Because support team there will have specific diagnostic tools that can help troubleshoot this issue further, and their support will continue to investigate this issue and provide suggestion for you.

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Thanks Mia.

I have tested and the problem still happens in different browsers, with a different log in, in incognito tab and when I've started a new project. I do also know a number of people experiencing the same issue.

    Many thanks

    Helen

    Hi,

Sorry for all the inconveniences it may have caused on your side.

Please try to change other browsers and also try the InPrivate Mode to see if the issue will persist. Also, try to create a new file and see if the crash issue is only happening on some specific files.

Besides, we will update here if the issue is happening on multiple users which might be a service issue from Sway side. Appreciate your patience!

    Best Regards,

    Mia
